Meta is introducing new AI photo and video editing tools directly into Instagram Stories, making it easier than ever to customize your content. With simple text prompts, you can add, remove, or completely change elements in your photos and videos. Previously, these tools were only available through the Meta AI chatbot, but now users can access them right inside Stories for a faster, more creative editing experience.

You can find the new tools in the Restyle menu at the top of Instagram Stories by tapping the paintbrush icon. From there, simply select add, remove, or change and type what you want to modify in the prompt bar. For example, you can ask Meta’s AI to change your hair color, add a crown, or swap your background for a sunset — all with a quick text command.

Meta is steadily rolling out new AI features to stay ahead in the tech race. Recently, it began testing a “Write with Meta AI” option on Instagram, designed to help users craft fun or clever comments on posts. Just last month, Meta also introduced “Vibes,” an AI-generated video feed in the Meta AI app a move that’s likely helping the app attract even more downloads.
