YouTube Premium is becoming more expensive not just in the United States, but as part of a broader trend where subscription prices are increasing in several countries.
In the U.S., the cost has gone up for both new users and current subscribers. The Individual plan now costs $15.99 per month (previously $13.99), while the Family plan for up to five people has risen to $26.99 from $22.99. The cheaper Premium Lite option, which removes most ads but doesn’t include music features, is now $8.99 per month instead of $7.99.
Similar price increases have also been seen or expected in other regions like parts of Europe, Asia, and Latin America, as streaming services adjust their pricing worldwide.
