WhatsApp recently added a new feature “Advanced Chat Privacy” for its users allowing them to set a barrier between you and the people you are chatting with from exporting chats and auto-downloading media to their phone without their knowledge and from mentioning or asking WhatsApp Meta AI questions.
WhatsApp believe that by doing this, users across the globe people can be more open and honest, knowing their messages won’t be taken out of context or shown to others. It builds trust among group members and keeps private conversations truly private. The company might add a new useful and more protections features in the future that might even block people from taking screenshots during a chat.
In previous versions, WhatsApp already keeps your messages safe with end-to-end encryption, but Advanced Chat Privacy adds even more protection. It’s a new option that gives users greater control over their chats. This feature is part of WhatsApp’s growing list of tools focused on keeping your conversations private, like disappearing messages and the ability to lock chats. How to Enable Advanced Chat Privacy in WhatsApp
This feature is being released slowly, so it might take a little time before everyone gets it. Once it’s available, you’ll be able to use it in both one-on-one chats and group conversations.
Users can enable this feature by tapping the chat name and selecting the “Advanced Chat Privacy” option.
